1. Causes of Melt Pump Failure to Rotate: Seized shaft and bushing, temperature below melting point, insufficient motor torque.
Solutions: Disassemble for maintenance and clean shaft/bushing; continuously heat and maintain temperature until melting point is reached; replace with larger motor and increase gear reduction ratio to enhance torque.
2. Abnormal Melt Pump Temperature
Check if the temperature sensor heater is functioning properly. Ensure the temperature control system is stable. Replace faulty components or adjust heating power as necessary.
3. Material Leakage from Melt Pump
Inspect for leaks at the seal or cover plate. Circulate cooling water to reduce seal temperature. Replace packing and seals. Tighten cover plate screws and apply high-temperature sealant to enhance sealing.
4. Causes of excessive melt pump temperature rise: Thermocouple or heating element failure, pump body structural issues, high material viscosity, etc.
Solutions: Replace faulty instruments, add cooling systems or modify pump structure. Replace helical gears and other components to reduce friction heat, etc.
